Kinetic Sculpture

We partnered with On’s in-house creative team to develop and build a unique kinetic sculpture for their flagship store in Chengdu.

In a city inundated with high res, high tech, high fidelity visuals, we created something different: an organic fibreglass shell concealing 206 mini LED screens.

The animation celebrates On’s iconic CloudTec technology. The building blocks – the individual white shapes – are inspired by the forms of On’s sneaker design, while the cumulative animation, which floats, pulses, and ripples around the sculpture, evokes the motion of walking and running.
